Ethics
Ethics & Editorial Standards
Our commitment to journalistic integrity in the crypto ecosystem
Our Core Principles
Accuracy and Rigorous Verification
Every article published undergoes a three-stage verification process. Sources are independently verified, data is cross-referenced, and technical claims are reviewed by domain experts. We do not publish speculation presented as fact and promptly correct any identified errors.
Absolute Editorial Independence
Our editorial department operates independently of any commercial interests. Editorial content is never influenced by advertising relationships, partnerships, or financial considerations. Editorial decisions are made exclusively based on journalistic value and relevance to readers.
Complete Financial Transparency
All members of our editorial team and journalists are required to disclose any significant holdings of cryptocurrencies, tokens, or blockchain assets. This information is updated quarterly and is publicly available. The prohibition on trading based on non-public information is strict and applies to all contributors.
Clear Separation Between Editorial Content and Advertising
Any sponsored or promoted content is clearly and distinctly marked as such. We do not accept publishing promotional content as editorial, and we do not allow advertisers to influence our journalistic content. Product reviews are conducted independently and objectively.
Conflict of Interest Policy
TribeSatoshi maintains the strictest standards in managing conflicts of interest to ensure our reporting remains unbiased and credible.
For Journalists and Editors
Members of the editorial team may not:
- Trade crypto assets they are writing about within 7 days before and after publication
- Accept compensation or benefits from projects they are covering journalistically
- Hold positions in projects they directly cover without approval and disclosure
- Participate in ICOs, airdrops, or fundraising events of projects they monitor
Mandatory Disclosures
All contributors must disclose:
- Cryptocurrency holdings exceeding $10,000 USD
- Consulting or advisory relationships with blockchain projects
- Investments in crypto funds or blockchain startups
- Family or personal relationships with founders or executives in the industry
Opinion Section: Expertise and Credibility
Contributors to our Opinion section are carefully selected for their extensive experience and significant contributions to the crypto ecosystem. We maintain rigorous standards to ensure our readers receive insights from true industry experts.
Our selection criteria include:
- Demonstrated experience: Minimum 5 years of active involvement in the blockchain, crypto, or decentralized technology industry
- Verifiable track record: Public contributions, developed projects, published research, or presentations at major industry conferences
- Technical or economic expertise: Deep understanding of technical, economic, or regulatory aspects of the crypto ecosystem
- Community credibility: Solid and respected reputation within the crypto community, evidenced by peer recognition
Each Opinion contributor is presented with a complete biography, including relevant experience, projects contributed to, and the unique perspective they bring. Opinions expressed are those of the authors and do not necessarily reflect the editorial position of TribeSatoshi.
Our Editorial Process
Source Verification
We use only credible and verifiable sources. For sensitive or high-impact information, we require independent confirmations from at least two distinct sources. We prioritize primary sources (whitepapers, technical documentation, official communications) over secondary sources.
Fact-Checking and Peer Review
Technical articles are reviewed by specialists with experience in the specific domain. Statistical data, on-chain metrics, and technical claims are independently verified. We collaborate with external experts for validation of complex information.
Corrections and Updates
Errors are corrected promptly and transparently, with clear notation of the modification and its date. Significant updates to published articles are explicitly indicated. We maintain a public record of major corrections for complete transparency.
Source Protection and Confidentiality
We respect the confidentiality of our sources and protect their identity when necessary. Communications with sources are conducted through secure channels. We do not disclose information about sources without their explicit consent, except where required by law.
Whistleblowers and individuals providing sensitive information about fraud, security vulnerabilities, or regulatory concerns receive our strongest protection and anonymity guarantees.
Responsible Crypto Reporting
We understand the impact our information can have on volatile cryptocurrency markets. Therefore, we commit to:
- Never promote pump-and-dump schemes or suspicious projects
- Actively investigate and expose potential scams and fraud
- Provide context for price volatility, not just sensational headlines
- Educate readers about investment risks and the importance of conducting their own research (DYOR)
- Present balanced views on controversial projects and technologies
Sponsored Content Policy
Sponsored content is permitted on the platform but is subject to the same accuracy standards as editorial content. We maintain strict separation to preserve editorial integrity.
Each sponsored material is:
- Clearly and visibly marked as "Sponsored Content" or "Advertising Material"
- Visually separated from editorial content with distinct styling
- Subject to verification to ensure it does not include false or misleading information
- Rejected if it promotes suspicious, fraudulent, or potentially harmful projects
- Never positioned to appear as independent editorial content
Our Commitment to Readers
TribeSatoshi assumes responsibility for providing quality journalism in the crypto ecosystem. We commit to:
- Educate readers about blockchain technologies and their implications for the financial system
- Provide balanced analysis, presenting multiple perspectives on controversial issues
- Maintain a professional tone, avoiding excessive hype or unjustified fear, uncertainty, and doubt (FUD)
- Respond to reader feedback and continuously improve our standards
